Biography

Hi, I'm Chris Middleton. I'm the founder and Managing Director of Futures Coaching - a network of futuring experts. We help rejuvenate brands by predicting the future AND working through what tomorrow's world means for brand strategy and innovation. I've been lucky enough to work with some great brands such as Nokia, Merck and Tesco.

Having got fed up with arms length consultancy, we bring a more personal 'coaching' approach to our rejuvenation work. An interactive workshop methodology also ensures that client and agency both bring their know-how to the table. Finally, we aim to train brand teams as we go so that the next time, they can do it themselves should they want to.

My background is in strategic consumer marketing and corporate strategy. I've worked for big names such as Boots The Chemist and Habitat International as well as specialist consultancies such as Management Horizons (retail) and RPA (design).

Immediately before founding my own company, I was Group Board Director of The Sociovision Group - probably Europe's longest standing socio-cultural trends agency. I was also Managing Director of Sociovision Ltd.

I have spoken about my vision of social change on conference platforms around the world - anywhere from Toronto to Taipei and Prague to Paris.

And I've been published in magazines such as Brand Leader and Technikart.

I'm very excited at the moment as my recent book will be published in June 2009 by Pearson. Called 'You Can Be As Young As You Think' its about personal rejuventation. It goes hand in hand with another blog at this address: we-rejuvenate.blogspot.com
